The votes are in!
A big thank you to all LCOA members who took part in the rules vote – over three-quarters of you voted – with 78% voting for a longer pole and 97% for the other changes.
The key outcome is that you do not need to do anything! All existing boats and sails are compliant.
However, if you wish to see the benefits of the longer pole, feel free to do so!
Also, if you are ordering new sails, ‘fat-head’ P&B mainsails are no longer allowed and jibs must be no wider than existing ones, so check your sails are compliant before buying (we will be notifying the main sail lofts).
