GJW Direct Belle Isle at Royal Harwich - Preview

Laura Lily - 16th June 2013

Royal Harwich Yacht Club has recently undergone a transformation, and the combined open with Larks, Fireflyís and N12ís is the perfect excuse to come on over and check out the stylish new clubhouse.
This great event will see three races on Saturday 22nd June beginning at 11.00am and the final two races at 10.30am Sunday. Online entry is now open at www.royalharwichyachtclub.co.uk/fireflyLarkNtOpen.html and registration will be from 9.00am on Saturday. The galley will be supplying good food at reasonable prices and there is also free camping & campervan parking.

For those staying on shore, there are also activities to get involved in such as crabbing with kit provided to avoid unfair competition. An interclass Tug-of-War is also planned if the Firefly and Lark classes bring enough participants along or versus the locals if not... In addition to the crabs and ropes there will be a Film Club with a Pixar film for the children to watch while everyone else eats and drink on Saturday night. So all in all it sounds like a fabulous weekend, hope to see you all there.
