Lark Masters Championships Preview

The Lark Class 40th Birthday celebrations continue over the weekend of 29th/30th September 2007 with the biennial Lark Masters Championship. This is the third running of this popular event and will appropriately take place at the first club to adopt the Lark 40 years ago, Frensham Pond SC in Surrey.

Defending Lark Masters Champion, John Brickwood, is expected to return to defend his two previous Lark Master titles. A host of other Lark “legends” from down the years have signaled there intention to return to the class for the weekend to challenge for the Masters crown.

There will be six races over the two days. The race briefing will take place at 11am on Saturday with the first race start at 12pm. Three races will be held on each day.

In the evening a black tie dinner dance will be held nearby at the Frensham Pond Hotel that overlooks over the lake. Tickets need to be booked in advance for this prestigious event.
