Club Info
Banbury Sailing Club, formed in 1950, is a family friendly club run by volunteers. We attract people of all ages and experience levels - from those who are new to sailing through to keen adult and youth racers. The Club is an RYA registered Training Centre, running many sailing and powerboat courses each year.
We sail on Boddington Reservoir, which is around 90 acres and set in attractive, unspoilt countryside on the borders of Northamptonshire, Warwickshire and Oxfordshire. We're close to Banbury, Brackley, Southam, Daventry, Leamington Spa and Warwick.
Our clubhouse has recently been doubled in size to accommodate spacious new changing facilities. It also has a bar with bottled beers and a range of other drinks. There is a large balcony area where members and visitors can watch the racing in comfort whilst enjoying a drink or picnic.
Two slipways provide easy access to about 160 metres of pontoons from which you can easily launch your boat (usually without getting your feet wet!) and you can tie up between races without pulling your boat out.
Camping in vans and tents is permitted in the Club grounds by prior arrangement. Local B & B's are also available.
