The Lark Class will be hosting the first ever Lark e-Inland Championships next Sunday, 3rd May at 2pm.
But instead of going out into the nasty COVID-19 world, you can take part in the comfort of your own (lockdowned) home!
All you need to know about Lark e-Inlands and Virtual Sailing can be found on this page, to be in with a chance of becoming the inaugural Lark event winner!!
We will be using the Virtual Regatta, so download the free Inshore version app here. GET PRACTICING
Once you're up and running with Virtual Regatta, enter the Lark e-Inland by completing this ENTRY FORM. Entries are free and must be submitted by Midnight on Friday 1st May.
All Lark sailors past or present are very welcome to participate in what should be an enjoyable and social experience. Don’t worry if you think e-Sailing isn’t for you, give it a go and you may be pleasantly surprised.
For the e-Inlands, we will be running a number of heats, starting at 2pm, then a final 4-race showdown at 7.30pm to find inaugural Lark e-Inlands Champion.
This event is a part of a wider RYA initiative, with clubs and classes across the country participating, and our “champion” will be invited to represent the Lark Class in the RYA Spring Class Championships in June.
For the e-Inlands we will broadly be following the RYA's VR NOR.
Specifically for the Lark e-Inlands, each heat will comprise of 5 races, with 2 discards. With the finals taking the 4 race format, with only one discard.
