Due to some confusion over how to calculate the winner o the Belle Isle Trophy last yea, they have now been formalised:
The Lark Travellers Trophy is awarded to sailors who compete in a series of events open to Lark sailors. The purpose is to find the best sailor across a range conditions and to recognise those who travel to multiple events.
1.Series prizes will only be awarded to members of the Lark Class Owners Association.
2.The Series for a particular year will consist of all the events labelled ‘Travellers Series’ on the fixture list of Class website, starting at the Winter Championship of the previous year and finishing with the event preceding the Winter Championship of the particular year. It will include the National Championship.
3.If an event is not sailed for any reason, but is rescheduled for the same venue on a different date, it will count towards the series only if it is publicised through the class website and by e-mail at least four weeks’ in advance.
4.If an event is cancelled but an alternative event is found for the same date, this will be counted towards the series only if it is publicised through the class website and by e-mail at least four weeks’ in advance.
5.Each event counts equally. A boat’s series score will be dependent on the number of events actually sailed:
