The GJW Direct Lark Belle Isle Travellers' Series continues apace with a trip to Brixham Yacht Club this coming weekend – 19th/20th May.
Last visited in 2009 for the National Championships, the club has promised another fantastic event, with 6 races planned over the two days and an evening social on the Saturday night.
For early birds arriving in Brixham on Friday, the club will be open for registration between 19:00 and 20:00. For everybody else, you can register prior to the briefing to be held at 11:30 in the club house. The first race will be at 13:00 on Saturday, with races two and three following back to back.
Be warned, hangovers will need to be shaken off quickly on Sunday morning as racing will kick off early at 10:00. Again, the two subsequent races will be held straight after - which should allow for a prompt getaway for journeys back up the M5.
So, with this being the last chance for final preparations before this National Championships to be held in Plymouth over the Jubilee Weekend, there should be a great turnout and top class racing.
P.S please note, that due to the compressed timescales of the championships no measuring is planned. As such, Brixham offers the last opportunity to ensure your sails and boats are the right size.
