The Nationals are Ready... Are you?

Daniel Watson - 29th February 2012

The Lark Class are proud to announce the opening of entries for the 2012 Lark National Championships that are taking place at Royal Plymouth Corinthian Yacht Club over the Queen's Jubilee Weekend in June.

2012 will be a special year for the Lark Class as it moves its highly anticipated National Championships to a 4-day event over the Diamond Jubilee Weekend (2nd–5th June) to avoid clashing with the Olympics. Her Majesty's gift to the Lark Class is an extra day's bank holiday, which means participation can be achieved without taking a day's holiday from work. And along with the rest of the country, The Larks will be celebrating the Diamond Jubilee with a string of "Best of British” themed social events. Nine first-rate races, plus a crew's race, will take place outside the breakwater at Plymouth, giving wind and wave lovers a championships to die for. All this for the bargain entry price of £99 (£89 if it’s your 1st Lark event)!!

So if you’re interested in taking part in one of the most friendly, yet highly competitive, National Championships on the circuit, without taking a days' holiday then check out the specially dedicated Nationals website www.larknationals.org. All the information you need and how to enter is there. The Lark Committee will even help set you up with a boat or crew!!
