The Down River Race

The inaugural Lark Down River Race, to be raced from Ranelagh Sailing Club in Putney, take the weekend after next.

Starting around 1pm on Sunday 13th February, the event will comprise of one 2hr race, down under London’s famous bridges, towards Westminster, and back again. After the race the club will lay on a ‘tea’ where the new Mike Jackson trophy will be presented.

For those who would like to come down to London a day early, the club will be hosting a party on the Saturday night (the author’s 30th.... cough). Based on a loose dress code of ‘Spectacular Knitwear’ – so pull out those Christmas jumpers, granny’s favourite socks, and your Starsky and Hutch Cardigans - it is guaranteed to be sensational!
