Harken Winter Championships and Laying up Supper
The 2010 Winter Championships is almost upon us, so not only is it the last major Lark Championships of the year, but it's time to dust off the DJ, practice your acceptance speeches(!!) and get yourself down to Northampton Sailing Club for some top quality sailing and entertainment. If you've never taken part before it's well worth bracing the early winter weather for. This event makes a perfect end to our busy Lark sailing season.
This year's championships is being generously sponsored by Harken UK.
RacingThere will be the usual 5 races over two days, with first start on Saturday at 12am with the preceding briefing at 11am. For further info, click the following links for the Sailing Instructions and the Notice of Race.

Dinner/DanceThe evening's events start around 7pm, with a fantastic 3-course meal being served, followed by a wrap up of the season events and the annual prize giving, not to mention the highly anticipated annual Duckhams award. We also have a new band (10p Short) this year, who promise to liven up the evening and will certainly get everyone up on the dance floor to see us into the early hours. Tickets for the evening dinner and entertainment are reasonably priced at £25 per person, so remember there are two of you in a boat!
Space is limited so please reserve your Dinner tickets by clicking this PRIZEGIVING DINNER TICKETS link.
AccommodationWe have again secured a reduced rate deal with the local hotel - Sedgebrook Hall, where there's a jacuzzi, sauna & pool to relax those aching limbs, before the night's activities.
This year you can book your room online. There are a limited amount of Double and Twin rooms including breakfast for 2 people available for £55.25 if you pay upfront. So make the most of this offer and book now. There is also a cheaper option of £45 for room only (so you will have to get your Sunday breakfast at the sailing club)
Please book hotel by clicking this HOTEL BOOKING link and following instructions.
TransportLike last year, transport will be arranged to get everyone back to Sedgebrook Hall at the end of the evening so we can all enjoy a drink. However we ask if you can make your own way back to sailing club after checking into the hotel.
We strongly prefer if all bookings can be made online by using the links above. However if this is not possible then please pay by cheque or cash and contact Chris Holliman at firstname.lastname@example.org now to reserve your place. Hotel queries should be sent to email@example.com
