Shustoke and Shropshire Opens 23rd/24th October

The re-scheduled Shropshire Open meeting is this Saturday (lets hope the wind is a little kinder this time!!) First race 11:15.

Shustoke Reservoir is full to bursting and any weed has disappeared as mysteriously as it arrived, which makes for the best possible conditions for only the second Lark Open hosted by the club in recent times.

10.30 briefing for 11.00 first start.

Shustoke is located close to the M6/M42 intersection on the SE corner of Birmingham, see www.shustokesailing.co.uk for directions.

The club is holding “An evening of music and mirth” on the Saturday evening with a local entertainer and bread and cheese supper. For connoisseurs of falling down water, the club bar features the products of the local Church End brewery. Those travelling from Shropshire on the Saturday are welcome to attend, and camping, sleeping in Vitos, or dossing in the clubhouse can all be accommodated. An ideal opportunity to find out much Eluned really snores…

Sunday breakfasts and a more substantial meal on Saturday evening are possibilities if there is demand. It would therefore be a great help to have advance notice of entries, and particularly of those wishing to stop over.
