Day 3 and the fleet launched on time, in a northerly F4. Both races today were Olympic courses with line starts. In Race 3 all 47 larks got away with a clean start. Steve and Chris Videlo led the first race amongst shifty conditions with Chris Whitehouse and Chris Robinson managing to hold second place from Steve Hall and Simon Haighton. Matt and Emma White who are proving very consistent managed fourth.
Race 4 started cleanly with Stuart Hydon and Tim Linsell heading off right whilst the majority of the fleet went left. At the windward mark Hydon/Linsell led by a small margin over Matt and Emma White. Silver Fleeters Jane Alexander and Rachel Rhodes and Fiona Gray and Aaron Woolf were showing good pace at the windward mark in 5th and 6th places respectively. By the second round Hydon peeled off left, which eventually dropped him to fourth, Matt White seized the opportunity and opened up a large lead. Silver Fleet sailors Chris White and Lucy Evans popped out second. Ross Kearney and Ally Dart were briefly in third only to drop to fifth by the final beat. It was Harry Pynn and MJ Gifford who managed to crawl up the fleet to finish third.
