Everyone's favourite open meeting of the year will this year be a cracker! The Rock open meeting will take place over the May Bank Holiday weekend (2nd-4th May) in sunny Cornwall.
We will be sailing on neap tides and at a sensible time for racing which, wind dependant, will mean some awesome racing in the BAY - yee ha!
Friday Night - for those arriving early is Fish Night (not in honour of our National Champ!) at the club, the bar will be open and Doom Bar will be flowing. Don't let them close until after the travellers from Suffolk arrive!
Saturday - The first race is scheduled for 13:00 which means the briefing is likely to be about 11:00 (not guaranteed).
Saturday evening is the traditional Lark Supper which is included in the entry fee. We predict much singing and jumping on tables!
Sunday - There should be sufficient time for hangover recovery before hitting the water.
After a few years absence the legendary Johnny Cowling will make an appearance on Sunday evening. Get your Combine Harvesters ready for a full on evening of hilarity!
Monday - Racing will be very dependant on water level and wind. A mid morning start is predicted to give plenty of time for those long journeys home.
Entry for the three days, including the Supper, entertainment and harbour duty is £50.
It just doesn't get better that this. We can't wait. One week to the summer!
