The larks are to visit the beautiful Salcombe for the first time for an open meeting this weekend. Many of the fleet may have partaken in Salcombe regatta week where for years the larks had a class start.
The first race on Saturday is at 1230 with 2 races BTB. There is briefing in the club in town (Cliff Road) at 1130. Sunday racing starts at 1030 with 3 races BTB.
Launching and boat storage for the weekend is at Batson Car Park, locally known as Creek Car Park, which is quite a walk from the club with no changing facilities so changing elsewhere and walking down is necessary. Batson is to the north of Salcombe town and can be seen clearly on multimap. It is also signposted as you come into the town apparently. Please take notice of the harbourmaster's instructions as it is a busy estuary.
Accomodation in the town may be hard to come by as it is a popular holiday town - email me (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you really can't find anywhere by Thursday night, or call me on 07887 521442. There are campsites, but they are a way out of town.
